Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: You can send an inquiry by email to windrockatvrentals @yahoo.com, and you will be contacted, you can use the automated form on the website and you will be contacted, or the best method, call 865-274-1237 and make the reservation over the phone.
Q: Are the rentals delivered to the riding areas of Ride Royal Blue, Windrock or Brimstone?
A: Yes, all rentals are delivered to the chosen riding area. ALL RIDING AREAS (and the surrounding TWRA properties) are a 2 day MINIMUM RENTAL. One day rentals at these parks are available for 2 or more machines rented for one day. There is a $100 Delivery fee to Brimstone, a $50 delivery fee to Ride Royal Blue, and Windrock. This fee is a one time, per rental fee, for 1 or more machines rented. Delivery fee will be waived for rentals of 3 days or more in length. There are no HALF DAY RENTALS.
NEW FOR 2017: Windrock Park rentals WILL NOT be delivered to the General Store parking lot or to the Windrock Campground. Coal Creek (Windrock) has decided that Windrock ATV Rentals is too much competition and will not allow WATVR to use their facilities for pick ups or drop offs starting in 2017. It is highly recommended that you stay at Windrock Gap Campground (formerly known as Sportsman's Campground), Half Moon Campground or Indian Creek Campground--machines will be delivered to either of these locations--NOT TO WINDROCK--sorry, contact COAL CREEK to complain.
OR, JUST GO TO RIDE ROYAL BLUE OR BRIMSTONE AND STAY AT THEIR FACILITIES AND SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE!
Q. Is there a reservation fee?
A: Yes, the reservation fee will be charged to your credit card when you make the reservation. The reservation fee is 30% of your total rental, fees and taxes. THE RESERVATION FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE. Once you make a reservation, you are expected to show up. Your reservation will remove the machine from any possibility of it being rented by another customer and will not be double booked. A few days before your rental, the remaining 70% of your rental, fees, and taxes, along with the deposit will be charged to the credit card on file. SEE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW
Q: How far in advance should I make a reservation?
A: It depends on the time of year. Between April and October, it is highly advised to make a reservation early (2 weeks or more BEFORE your ride). ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE A MINIMUM OF A WEEK IN ADVANCE
Q: How do I pay?
A: All Major credit cards (VISA, MC, AMEX, DISC). Debit cards may be used for rental fees, processing fees, taxes and insurance, but are not advised for security deposits. Security deposits MAY be held for up to 2 weeks after the rental. Security deposit release date and amount varies and is solely dependent upon condition of machine at return.
Q: How much are the rentals?
A: All prices listed are for rental for ONE DAY (9am-5pm) or TWO DAY (9am first day to 5pm second day) with ONE DRIVER* . Call for other rates and discounts.

Q: What is the CANCELLATION POLICY?
Once a machine is reserved, you are in contract with Windrock ATV Rentals for the rental date(s) and are expected to show up.
Because most rentals are reserved many weeks in advance, any cancellation made 8 days or more before the ride date will be charged your full reservation fee--this is a non refundable fee
Cancellations made between 4 and 7 days before your ride date will not be granted a full cancellation. You will charged for half (50%) the amount of the total rental.
There is NO CANCELLATION allowed 3 days or less of the ride date. . .you will be charged for the FULL AMOUNT of the rental.
If your reservation is made within 1 week of the ride date, there is NO CANCELLATION and NO RESERVATION FEE you will be charged for the FULL RENTAL AMOUNT with no refund.
Q: What is the Insurance
Insurance is MANDATORY FOR EACH DRIVER and must be purchased in advance from MBA Insurance. Windrock ATV Rentals will purchase your insurance for you through MBA Insurance using your credit card on file. Insurance is $15 per day per driver. Q: What are the age requirements?
A: Must be 21 to rent and drive a machine from Windrock ATV Rentals. There are no age requirements for passengers, along as they are riding with an insured driver, however, the passenger MUST be able to touch floor firmly with their feet and properly wear a seat belt.
Q: What are the passenger restrictions?
A: Passengers are NOT drivers. Passengers are NEVER allowed to drive the vehicle. If you have not purchased an insurance policy through Windrock ATV Rentals in YOUR name, YOU are a passenger. If you are caught driving ANY vehicle rented from Windrock ATV Rentals without insurance, you will forfeit your ENTIRE deposit for that machine.
Q: What are check in/out times?
A: One day rentals are from 9am to 5pm. 2 days or more, pick up is at 9am the first day of rental, and drop off is 5pm the last day of rental. Overnight rentals are permitted with a two or more day rental. 24 hour rentals are available and are charged at a rate of 1 1/2 times the daily rental--a 2 seater, 24 hour rental will cost $375 + fees, delivery and deposit ($250/day + 1/2 of the second day). Renter MUST be staying in the park that the machine is being ridden in. Machines CANNOT be transported by ANY renter to ride in another area. Safety of the machine at night is solely the responsibility of the renter. If you are late for your pickup time, there is NO REFUND for missed time. Late returns are billed at $60 per hour. Returns that are more than 2 hours late, will be charged for a full additional day of rental for that machine. When you pick up the machine (9AM or later) is up to you. When you drop off the machine (5PM), is up to Windrock ATV Rentals.
Q: Are there Fuel charges?
A: Only if the machine is not refueled at the end of the day. The machine will come to the renter with a full tank of gas. You should be able to go all day on one tank of gas. The renter is expected to top off the tank at the end of the day. There is fuel available at the parks. If you choose to not fill the tank, Windrock ATV Rentals will top the tank off, and take the price of fuel, plus one dollar each gallon, out of the security deposit.
Q: Are there cleaning fees?
A: Yes. If a machine is not returned reasonably clean, there will be a $50 cleaning fee taken from the security deposit. There are cleaning facilities at all of the parks, and the renter is expected to use them at the end of the day, BEFORE 5pm drop off.
Q: Do I need to wear a helmet?
A: YOU SHOULD! Side by Sides do not require the use of a helmet over the age of 18. While it is highly advisable that you wear a helmet, it is not required. All ATV rentals require the use of a helmet at all times while riding. If you do not have a helmet, Windrock ATV Rentals will provide you with one at no cost. Goggles are not mandatory, but suggested. Windrock ATV Rentals does NOT provide goggles for use by renters. Bring your own, or purchase a pair at the park.
Q: What if the weather is unfavorable? Is there a refund if it’s raining?
A: Windrock ATV Rentals cannot control the weather and therefore DOES NOT issue refunds for adverse weather conditions. You can still ride in the rain.
Q: What happens if the machine breaks down?
A: If the breakdown is NOT caused by the actions of the renter, the machine will be exchanged by Windrock ATV Rentals, based upon availability. If there is no replacement vehicle available, the renter will be refunded the remaining amount of the rental for the day. If there is a replacement vehicle available, the renter will be discounted the down time of the rental day. If the breakdown is due to renter negligence, there will be NO REPLACEMENT AND NO REFUND.
RENTER WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES TO THE MACHINE.
ONCE RENTER TAKES POSSESSION OF THE RENTAL VEHICLE (ALL PAPERWORK IS SIGNED), THE SAFETY OF THE MACHINE AND THE SAFETY OF ALL PASSENGER (NON-DRIVERS) IS UP TO THE RENTER (INSURED DRIVER). ANY AND ALL DAMAGES ARE THE RENTER’S RESPONSIBILITY. BY SIGNING ANY DOCUMENT GIVEN TO THE RENTER BY WINDROCK ATV RENTALS, RENTER IS AUTHORIZING THE CREDIT CARD ON FILE WITH WINDROCK ATV RENTALS TO BE USED FOR COSTS OF ANY AND ALL DAMAGE CHARGES TO THE RENTAL VEHICLE.
BY SIGNING ANY DOCUMENTS GIVEN TO THE RENTER BY WINDROCK ATV RENTALS, RENTER IS AGREEING TO ABIDE BY ANY OF WINDROCK ATV RENTALS TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND RULES OF RENTAL AND AGREEING TO PAY FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES TO THE RENTAL VEHICLE.
